Volunteer Opportunities

The City of Hopkins and community organizations rely on volunteers to help provide many services. In the case of the City, volunteers help expand the reach of City services without increasing the costs of these services. Community organizations may well need volunteers in order to provide most of their services. Residents who volunteer in Hopkins help improve the quality of life for everyone in our city.

Caring Youth Recognition

The Cities of Hopkins, Minnetonka, and Golden Valley, along with School Districts 270 and 271, sponsor a Caring Youth Recognition celebration.

Caring Youth Recognition

This celebration recognizes the volunteer efforts of youth in Hopkins and surrounding communities. It honors young people who have demonstrated a caring attitude through volunteer efforts, without expectations of rewards or recognitions. The recognition is not about scholastic or athletic achievement.

Caring  Youth nominations are open to students in grades 7-12 who live within  the city limits of Hopkins, Golden Valley, or Minnetonka or those who  attend a school in Hopkins School District 270 or Minnetonka School  District 271.

Young people may only be nominated by the organization they are serving. For  more information, including nominations guidelines and forms, visit the Minnetonka Youth Recognition Page.

Nomination Deadline

Nominations are due at the beginning of February each year.
