The Hopkins Activity Center is proud to adopt Downtown Park and surrounding Clock Tower area. Demonstrate community pride and help us make a positive impression in our community by picking up litter and noting needed repairs. The Hopkins Park Department will provide litter bags and remove all collected waste afterwards.
Are you a seamstress looking for a fun volunteer project? The Hopkins Activity Center has teamed up with the Hopkins School District and will be receiving the Pre-K and Kindergarten dolls to redress them for the new school year. Wear and tear on these beloved dolls means they need new outfits and a little TLC. You will receive the dolls to take home as your models. Deadline for returning dolls is August 8.
Enroll now for Dress a Doll. You will be notified in late Spring about program details.
See how the Dress a Doll program provided a lesson in compassion for local school students.
Help with set-up, serving, and clean-up at special events.
Do you knit, crochet or sew? Opportunities for making preemie baby blankets, or crocheting hats, mittens, or scarves are available. These handmade items are then given to local organizations that distribute to neighbors in need. Stop by the office to pick up a pattern or supplies.
Are you tech savvy and patient? We are always looking for people to help assist seniors struggling to figure things out in this very digital age.
