Comprehensive Plan
The Comprehensive Plan states the City’s current policy position on a number of issues including land use, housing, transportation, parks and utilities. It describes how Hopkins is likely to change and helps guide recommendations made by Hopkins boards and commissions to the City Council. Additionally, it is used by property owners and developers when considering the future use of property.
Update
Every ten years, all Twin Cities area communities are required by State law to update their comprehensive plans. Hopkins comprehensive plan was last updated in 2020 and will guide the City’s land use regulations and policies for the next 10 to 20 years.
