Background
The City's End-of-Trip Facilities Plan is a guiding document set to improve the supply and access to facilities where users of active transportation, like bicycles and scooters, can store their equipment when they reach their destination.
Focused on Downtown Hopkins and the three METRO Green Line Extension light rail stations, the plan uses an innovative and future-facing approach to understand and accommodate the needs of all forms of active transportation, including all types of bicycles (e.g. traditional, electric assist, cargo, adaptive, recumbent, tricycles, tandems), personal and shared mobility scooters, skateboards, roller blades, and any other physically active way that community members may travel. The plan was completed in 2024 with funding from Hennepin County Active Living and in partnership with Toole Design Group.
