The City Clerk’s Office is available to answer any questions about absentee voting, polling locations, voter registration and service as an election judge. The City Clerk administers city, state and federal elections.

2026 Elections

State Primary Election - August 11, 2026

  • Absentee early voting begins June 26, 2026
    • Vote absentee in-person at Hopkins City Hall or vote by mail
    • Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
    • Extended hours: Saturday, August 8 (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.) and Monday, August 10 (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.)

State General Election - November 3, 2026

  • Absentee voting begins September 18, 2026
    • Vote absentee in person at Hopkins City Hall or vote by mail
    • Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
    • Extended hours for early voting: 
    • Saturday, October 25 (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.)
    • Tuesday, October 27 (8 a.m. to 7 p.m.)
    • Saturday, October 31 (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.)
    • Sunday, November 1 (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.)
    • Monday, November 2 (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.)
  • Election Day polls are open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
