Dear HAMA Member: Greetings and Happy New Year! Thanks for your past participation and future interest in the Hopkins Apartment Managers Association (HAMA). HAMA meetings are held three times a year and are coordinated by city staff from Planning & Development, Police, and Fire Department. We welcome suggestions for topics and speakers. Upcoming Meeting InformationThe next HAMA meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 18 from 12:00 p.m. (noon) to 1:30 p.m. at Chorus Apartments (1295 2nd St NE, Hopkins, MN 55343)
Agenda topics for the meeting will include:
1. Climate Action and Resiliency PlanThe City of Hopkins is preparing a climate action plan to improve sustainability and enhance our quality of life. City of Hopkins Sustainability Specialist, Mikala Larson, will share information about the developing plan and guide attendees through engagement activities. This is a focus group opportunity for HAMA members to share ideas and priorities. 2. Energy Action PlanCity of Hopkins Planner, Kurt Howard, will present on the Hopkins Energy Action Plan, and related strategies for owners or multifamily building owners, managers, and tenants to improve their energy efficiency and save money on utility bills in the process. These strategies include building energy audits, rebates to reduce aging equipment and appliances, and small DIY upgrades. 3. City of Hopkins Updates
