Application Period for Building Safer Communities 
Micro Grants Begins February 15

The City of Hopkins seeks to provide funding opportunities for programs, communication, advocacy, and organizing led by community-based organizations and community members that promote community safety and connectivity through Building Safer Communities Micro Grants. The micro-grant program will focus on projects that fund, inspire, and assist with crime reduction efforts. The City will fund projects between $500 and $2,500. The application period opens on Wednesday, February 15. Learn more about the micro grants.  

Warming Houses Set to Close February 20

Monday, February 20, is the last day the warming houses at Hopkins/Minnetonka ice skating rinks are scheduled to be staffed and open. After February 20, outdoor picnic tables or benches will be available next to the rinks for patrons to use. Rink maintenance will continue as long as the rinks are solid and safe enough to skate on. West Metro Home Remodeling Fair is February 26

Looking for ideas or tips for your next home remodeling project? Stop by the West Metro Home Remodeling Fair between 10:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Sunday, February 26, at the Eisenhower Community Center. The fair features a wide variety of exhibitors with products and services related to home improvement, including remodeling contractors, architects, landscapers, financial lenders and more.
