Greetings! Thanks for your past participation and future interest in the Hopkins Apartment Managers' Association (HAMA).
HAMA meetings are held three times a year and are coordinated by city staff from Planning and Economic Development, Inspections and the Police and Fire Departments. We welcome suggestions for topics and speakers. Feel free to bring your own lunch and join us for education, important updates and valuable networking!

NARCOTICS IDENTIFICATION AND EMERGING DRUG TRENDS
The Hopkins Police Department will be sharing valuable information at the upcoming in-person HAMA meeting on recent drug trends. Information will cover how to identify drug activity at your property, increased prevalence of designer/hybrid drugs, new use trends and paraphernalia as well as preventative measures you and your staff must take to remain safe.
Those in attendance will have the opportunity to view narcotics and paraphernalia confiscated by the Hopkins Police first hand to aid in the identification of illegal drugs and narcotic activity.
Detectives from the Police Department specially trained in narcotics enforcement, who work in partnership with the South West Metro Drug Task Force (SWMDTF) and the Violent Offenders Task Force (VOTF), will share information on how you and your staff can collaborate to keep the neighborhood and our community safe.
You and your staff in attendance will receive a certificate of training that can be used if need be at housing court.

RENTAL HOUSING INSPECTIONS AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT UPDATE
The City of Hopkins has been evaluating policy and procedure regarding rental housing. We look forward to sharing this information with the community! There are many new developments coming to the community and city staff will be highlighting all of those with you.
