Blake School Early Learning Center

Project Background

The Blake School seeks approval to build a new Early Learning Center, to make pedestrian and vehicular access improvements to Campus Drive, and to build a replacement accessory structure located in the northeast corner of the site, which would replace an existing parking lot, for the transportation and grounds maintenance services. The proposed projects are scheduled to be built from the spring of 2022 and to be completed by early fall of 2023. 

Neighborhood Meeting Process

City policy requires certain land use applications include a neighborhood meeting hosted by the applicant. This neighborhood meeting policy requires applicants to meet directly with neighbors and receive feedback before going through the City's formal land use review process.

The Blake School is hosting a neighborhood meeting to present their plans and take questions and comments from the public. The meeting will take place on Wednesday, November 10 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Dining Commons at the Blake School, 110 Blake Road South in Hopkins. City Review Process

  • November 23, 2021 - Planning & Zoning Commission Meeting
    • Action: Hold a public hearing to consider site plan review and conditional use permit applications and make a recommendation to the City Council.
  • December 7, 2021 - City Council Meeting
    • Action: Review site plan review and conditional use permit amendment applications and recommendation from the Planning & Zoning Commission; vote to approve, deny or continue for more information.
