Blake Road Station
Trilogy Real Estate Group has submitted site plan review, rezoning and planned unit development applications to develop the Hopkins Commerce Center, located at the northwest quadrant of Excelsior Boulevard and Blake Road, into a three phase mixed use residential and commercial development adjacent to the future Blake Road Southwest LRT Station.
On October 21, 2020, the City received notice from Trilogy Real Estate Group that they wish to pause review of their land use applications for the Blake Road Station development. As a result, this item will not be on the October 27 Planning & Zoning Commission agenda. Once the applicant informs the City as to when they would like to resume review of their applications, the City will send another public notice detailing the new review and public meeting schedule.

Blake Road Station Development Environmental Assessment Worksheet
The City of Hopkins has prepared an Environmental Assessment Worksheet (EAW) for the Blake Road Station Development Project and is seeking public input.
As the designated Responsible Governmental Unit (RGU), the City of Hopkins has prepared an Environmental Assessment Worksheet (EAW) for the Blake Road Station Development.
The proposed project includes the redevelopment of 6.4 acres of existing commercial uses at the intersection of Excelsior Boulevard and Blake Road North in Hopkins, located adjacent to the future METRO Green Line Blake Road Station.
The proposed project is a multi-modal transit-oriented development that will be constructed in three phases. As proposed, Blake Road Station would redevelop the existing Hopkins Commerce Center strip commercial development into three separate 7-story buildings totaling approximately 752 residential units and 11,035 square feet of commercial space. Construction of the first phase is anticipated to start in spring 2021 and be complete in summer 2022. Construction of the second and third phases will depend on the existing lease agreements with the current tenants.

Trilogy Real Estate Group has submitted a concept plan review request for redevelopment of the Hopkins Commerce Center into a phased residential and retail development, Blake Road Station.
This item is scheduled to go before the City Council on Tuesday, June 16 and the Planning & Zoning Commission on Tuesday, June 23, 2020. As a concept review, this application does not require formal action by the Planning & Zoning Commission or City Council.
